Russian army will receive upgraded flamethrower system

Russian forces in 2012 will be adopted modernized heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A "sun." On this, as reported by ITAR-TASS news agency, said Russian Ground Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Sergei Vlasov. For comparison, the war machine of the "Pinocchio" has 30 tracks. In addition, in the TOS-1A includes transportation and loading vehicle TRV-T. "Sunlight" is capable of hitting enemy targets at ranges of 3.6 to six thousand meters (depending on the type of missiles), and the damaged area is from one thousand to two thousand square meters.

"There are also supplied air systems and terrestrial radiation surveillance computing systems, automated system of accounting and control of radioactive materials and waste, filters, absorbers and detector tubes. At the end of December 2011 Vlasov said that the Army during the year have adopted more than ten thousand units and armored vehicles, as well as about two thousand units of vehicles of communication. In engineering units were assigned new tug-power boats and cranes. The military also got 30 multiple rocket launchers "Tornado-G".
