Russian biathletes won gold at the start of the World Cup

Russian national biathlon team won the gold medal in the mixed relay 2×6 + 2×7 km, 5 km in the first phase of the World Cup, which kicked off on Sunday in Ostersund.

Russians Olga Zaitseva, Olga Viluhina, Alexey Volkov and Yevgeny Ustyugov with six penalties on eight shooting ranges managed without penalty laps and showed time 1 hour 12 minutes 41.3 seconds.

Silver went to the team of Norway (10 errors), the Russians conceded 21.2 seconds, bronze Czechs (8 misses backlog — 36.4 seconds).
