Russia in I quarter has increased production of poultry meat

Russia in January-March 2013 increased the production of poultry meat (in the manufacturing sector of the industry) by 5.2% compared to the same period last year — to 870,000 tons, according to the materials of Rosstat. 


Production of other types of meat during the same period increased by 24.8% to 364,000 tons. Issue of meat products increased by 2.3% to 367,000 tons, canned meat and cereal — by 33.7%, to 22.5 million cans, and the production of sausages, on the contrary, decreased by 2% to 365,000 tons.

The production of fish and fish products, including canned, for the three months increased by 7.5% to 1.1 million tons.

Drinking milk were produced 2.9% more than the year before, namely 1.4 million tons. Butter production increased by 1.3% to 46.3 million tons.

Release of wheat and wheat-rye flour for the quarter increased by 0.1% — to 2.2 million tons. Long-term storage of bakery products were produced 1.5 million tons, which is 3.5% lower than in the same period last year. Volume of production of sunflower crude oil decreased by 15.7% — to 811,000 tons.
