Moscow Planetarium officially opened on June 12 after 17 years of renovation.

After the reconstruction of the planetarium area increased from 3 to 17 thousand square meters. It is expected that the annual visit to the planetarium will be 1.5 million. Ticket prices range from 150 to 500 rubles. For the general public planetarium opened on June 13, it will be open every day from 10:00 to 21:00.

In addition, the planetarium opened two museums — an interactive museum "Lunarium" and the Museum of Urania. Museum "Lunarium" consists of two sections — "Astronomy and Physics" and "Learning Space". "The exhibition features more than eighty pieces that playfully illustrate the various physical phenomena and laws of nature" — the site says the planetarium.

The Planetarium was built in 1929. In 1994 it was closed for renovation, which was delayed several times. Work began only in 2002.
