Agreement with Russia on the export of bananas and oil

President Hugo Chavez and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin signed last Thursday at the Palace of Miraflores new agreement on joint development of oil deposits Junin-6 (Junin 6) and Carabobo-2 (Carabobo 2) in the Orinoco River basin.

Chavez said then that, in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, the capital of the Russian-Venezuelan bank, which has its offices in Moscow and Caracas, increased by $ 4 billion.

A large Russian delegation that signed the agreement in Miraflores evening last Thursday, led by Igor Sechin, during the day was in the area of development of oil fields, located in the Orinoco basin.

Although all of these projects have already been announced previously, the government set up a joint venture to plant banana trees and sale of these fruits in Russia. The company area of 2,000 hectares is located to the south of the island of Maracaibo (Maracaibo). Thanks to him, will create 20,000 new jobs. In a statement, Chavez did not specify the amount of investment and production. There was also announced whether it will be managed by private Russian investors or the state capital, because before she ran a successful private enterprise.

Also set up a joint venture for the export of flowers, mostly roses and hydrangeas in Russia. Annual shipments could reach 130,000 tons. And in this case was not reported on the amount of investments and other commercial details of the joint venture.

As for oil, the Russian company "Rosneft" and the Venezuelan state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) will jointly develop the Carabobo-2 field. When companies Chevron and Repsol, along with other concerns at the end of last year were the development of the other two fields Carabobo, in the Carabobo-2 applications were received.

It has been reported that the Russian gas monopoly "Gazprom" will geological surveys on the Robalo gas field (Robalo), the project Urdaneta (Urdaneta), located near the wells Pearl 3x (Perla 3x), where Repsol and Eni discovered about 15 trillion cubic feet gas. This discovery caused a wide resonance.

As Chavez said, the words of which confirms Oil Minister Ramirez (Ramirez), gas reserves in the deposit Robalo estimated at 200 trillion cubic feet.

The signing ceremony of the agreement on the joint development of the field Junin-6, which will involve private Russian oil company "Lukoil" and state "Rosneft", was broadcast twice on television.

At first, she was held in San Diego de Kabrutika (San Diego de Cabrutica), and then in the palace of Miraflores. The figures, which were called serving in these two places are not always the same.

Seems to have been painted a scenario in which in May 2012 to begin drilling operations in the Orinoco basin, and by the end of the year daily early production will reach 50,000 barrels.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister said that the installation of the equipment is complete and a half years, which has caused some confusion.

As is clear from the practice of oil production, it is impossible to provide such a volume of early production in the period from May to December 2012. Available data suggest that the amount of early production could reach 12,000 barrels a day, and then only by 2013.

Such propaganda pressure causes confusion among people who did not know how to map these volumes and activities.

It is rather strange that PDVSA, was once one of the twenty largest oil companies in the world, talks about the early production, when it is not laid pipelines and other production facilities. It also makes no sense to take back to the truck alleged earlier oil distribution stations.

Oil Minister Ramirez said that the volume of production at the Company PetroMiranda will increase through the use of drills with shanks that historically inaccurate, because affiliates PDVSA used such drills since the mid 80’s of the last century. We are only talking about a few wells are managed from a single location.
