Another IL-76 for China

At the airport of "Flight Research Institute named after Gromov" in Zhukovsky near Moscow at the beginning of January 2013 there was a military transport plane Il-76MD with identification marks and the PLA Air Force in a new unusual blue and white coloring. This aircraft is one of two Il-76MD, acquired for China from having Air Forces of Belarus within the framework of the contract in 2010 FSUE "Rosoboronexport" to supply China 10 owned aircraft Il-76MD/TD.

Il-76MD/TD aircraft for delivery to China acquired the "Rosoboronexport" from a variety of sources in Russia and Belarus, with subsequent repair (presumably on based repair of transport aircraft "IL" in Staraya Russa) and delivery of the PLA Air Force. It is known that under this contract three Il-76MD were taken from the presence of the Russian Air Force, two Il-76MD — the availability of Air Forces of Belarus, and three Il-76TD — Belarusian Airlines out of the park "Transaviaexport."

In 2012, China received the first three Il-76MD to this contract — machines with Chinese tail number 21140, 21141 and 21142 (presumably former Russian air force planes). All of them came in the 39 th Aviation Regiment, 13th Transport Aircraft Division PLA Air Force, stationed at the airfield Danyan (Guangzhou City Military District) and as part of which are also ten Il-76MD received new China in 1991-1994.

Said Il-76MD after undergoing repairs and get a new painting at the beginning of 2013 arrived in Zhukovsky, where the acceptance of the Chinese crew for the purpose of distillation in China. Interestingly, the aircraft has caused the Chinese registration number B-4034, previously owned by one of the Il-76MD of the 39th Regiment PLAAF deliveries in 1993, but in 2012 was replaced by the registration number to the new purely military side number "21044." Apparently, the number of B-4034 is a fictitious (temporary) and applied to a "new" old Belarusian aircraft specifically for distillation in China, where the board will receive a new war room "pyatitsifrovogo" standard. Departure of the plane in the PRC is expected in the coming days.
