As part of the Experimental Demonstration Center (UDC) to test the technology reprocessing MCC is located at the foothill of the facility in the central laboratory of fragments held unloading SNF from VVER-1000 and BN-600, reported on Sept. 9 at MCC. SNF fragments were taken from Dimitrovgrad Riar for R & D under the state contract, "Optimization of the structure of flows and complex examination of an extraction chromatographic scheme reprocessing at MCC."

The works are designed for two years and should be completed in 2014. For research in the glove box of spent nuclear fuel will be delivered in split into smaller pieces using a special installation that is designed and manufactured by MCC. The results of research will make adjustments to optimize the process flow diagram of a pilot reprocessing center. In 2015, must be made most of the equipment ODC, and in 2016 it is planned to supply MCC.
