The new plant will provide additional warmth of 300,000 square meters, this neighborhood, home to about 20-25 thousand people. The main equipment unit PGU-60 are gas turbine SGT-800 production of Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB (Sweden), Russia’s first licensed waste-heat boiler two-pressure production of "EMA" and the steam turbine was installed earlier.
The new equipment is placed on the areas liberated after the dismantling of the first stage CHP decommissioned. The station covers 50% of the heat for the city of Ufa.
Modernization of combined heat and power began in 2009. The total cost of the project exceeded 1.5 billion rubles. As a result of the works installed power capacity increased by 48 megawatts and reached polugigavatta (0.5 GW), and the thermal capacity increased by 30 Gcal per hour and reached 1.478 Gcal per hour.
