Autotor began assembling cars Hyundai

March 13 Kaliningrad factory "Autotor" started production of another new model — Hyundai i40, which will be available in two body styles — business sedan and wagon. In the near future in Kaliningrad will also start assembling executive class sedan Hyundai Equus, which will be produced including the version of "limousine".

In September 2012 the company started commercial production of Hyundai HD-78 up to 3.5 tons, and this year it added to the model of Hyundai HD-170 and HD-120. By the end of the year "Autotor" plans to release more than 5,300 commercial vehicles Korean brand. Hyundai and "Autotor" invested in the project about $ 23 million in about equal proportions on each side. The production facilities to the production of the first phase (up to 2015) to reach 10,000 vehicles per year from three to seven models by 2018 and may be extended up to 25,000 cars a year with the possibility of the production of the entire range of Hyundai. Even now started the development program of localization of production. Making all add-ins to the chassis of cars produced mainly provided by the enterprises of the Kaliningrad region. Plans are putting into production of the entire range of commercial vehicles with a wide range of generic and specific add-ons, as well as buses.
