As reported by the Committee of the registrar Novgorod region, in January-April this year, the region has registered 2,289 newborn babies, 74 children, or 3.3% more than the same period last year.
"Thanks to the actions of state and regional support for families with children in the region has been a steady trend of visiting families of Novgorod the second, third and subsequent children," — said the Chairman of the Committee of the registrar Novgorod Maria Petrova, noting that out of the total number of births in the first four months of the year these children were born 56.9%.
In January-April 2013, 53% of babies born to women aged 26 to 35 years 36.5% of the women became mothers between the ages of 18 and 25, 9% — over the age of 36 years. 28 babies were born to underage women.
Parents of boys more often for their newborn sons chose names — Artem, Ivan and Dmitry. Girls are often called names — Daria, Anastasia and Barbara.
