Cabinet approved the feasibility study LNG-terminal

Prime Minister of Ukraine signed a decree approving the pre-feasibility study of the National Project LNG-terminal. With this decision the Cabinet approved all the economic indicators calendar schedule and the organizational model of the project. The chairman of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine Kaskiv, as quoted by the press office of the agency.

A feasibility study on the results of the National Project LNG terminal determined the overall cost of the project, which is 969 million euros. Gosinvestproekta chairman also noted that the technological part of the project will be implemented by investment funds, and the state’s share in the authorized capital of 25%, with the actual public spending of 7.5%.

"We are now, with the support of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, we begin the next stage — preparing for the investment tender process of the construction of NP LNG-terminalKaskiv said. — We plan to invite the leaders of all the interested companies worldwide to the extended presentation of the energy strategy of Ukraine, which will be held September 13-16 in Yalta. "

The project is already generating interest from potential investors — about ten global companies from the U.S., Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Japan, Qatar, Korea expressed interest, he said.

Recall the construction of LNG-terminal with a total capacity of 10 billion cubic meters per year is planned to be implemented in two stages. First of all — by using the FSRU-tech, the second part — through the construction of the onshore terminal, which will include three capacities: each with 180,000 cubic meters of liquefied gas. The first phase of this project is expected to be completed by January 2015.
