Cameroon has ordered Rosoboronexport Mi-17 helicopters

This is the first contract for military-technical cooperation concluded between Russia and Cameroon.

"Rosoboronexport", part of the State Corporation Rostekhnadzor, at MAKS-2013 signed a contract with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Cameroon for the supply of Mi-17.

On the Russian side of the contract signed by General Director of "Rosoboronexport" Anatoly Isaykin, with the Cameroonian side — Defense Minister Edgar Alain MEBE Ngo? about.

"This is the first contract for military-technical cooperation concluded between Russia and Cameroon. For us, this is a new country and we look forward to the successful development of cooperation which began today ", — said Anatoly Isaykin.

The development of military-technical cooperation with African countries is a priority in the marketing policy of "Rosoboronexport". In particular, over the last year resumed ties with Botswana, Ghana and Equatorial Guinea.
