In Nizhny Novgorod commissioned Industry Center for High Performance Computing (SAC AB) of "CRI" Petrel ". The center was established in the framework of the Federal Target Program of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
The introduction of high-performance computing technology will enable CRI, which is part of the Corporation "Uralvagonzavod" move to a qualitatively new level of analytical design — to reduce development time and development of new products and improve the quality of the products.
Industry data center is based on a supercomputer, "Minin" with a peak performance of more than 57 teraflops (57 trillion floating-point operations per second). Its implementation will enable the company to effectively solve the problems of the dynamics and strength of machines and systems, hydro-gas dynamics, a multi-parameter optimization of structures and products, as well as other problems in the functioning of the product in general industrial complex decision problems. For the enterprises of the sector project will provide:
- access to computing resources of a super-computer "Minin";
- access to licensed software systems computational analysis;
- perform calculations and counseling.
The introduction of the center will allow businesses across the region to use the computing power of a supercomputer and will open new opportunities to improve their development and production of new products.
