Equipment for the construction of new power Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk CHPP-1 delivered to Sakhalin "Freight." The gas turbine unit GTA-6 PM was made by order of Sakhalin Energy at the plant "Saturn — Gas Turbine" (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region). The unit is designed for the new power Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk CHPP-1, currently under construction in the framework of the Federal Target Program "Socio-economic development of the Far East and Trans-Baikal to 2013". The project has a high social value for the region. Commissioning of new power planned for the I quarter of next year.
For transportation of gas turbine unit GTA-6 PM took 11 railway platforms. Load off the station Gateway Northern Railway, and on arrival at the port of Busan (Khabarovsk Territory) platform with the equipment in stages were transported to Sakhalin. The total length of the route was 9,000 km. Delivery failed ahead of standard time, despite the difficulty of the route, in particular, frequent winter storms at the crossing between the mainland and the island.
