During 2010-2011, Naftogaz mined in Egypt, 685 thousand barrels of oil

National Joint Stock Company (NAC) "Naftogaz of Ukraine" in October-December 2011, produced in Egypt more than 125 thousand barrels of crude oil. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on the implementation of the work plan for the past year, "Interfax-Ukraine".

"On April 18, 2010" Naftogaz of Ukraine "is engaged in commercial production and delivery of oil from the field HG Eastern bloc Alam El Shawish under the terms of the concession agreement. As of 23 December 2011 on the unit produced over 685 thousand barrels of crude oil, "- the document says.

According to previously published data of the Ministry, to June 30, 2011 on the block produced 454 thousand barrels of crude oil for September 30, 2011 — over 560 thousand barrels.

The Ministry noted that at the end of last year, state-owned holding completed drilling of 25 wells and found six oil fields.

In addition, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" continues to explore the possibility of developing new fields in the United Arab Emirates. Gosholding completed drilling of exploration wells in onshore license block Al-Fujairah. Bottom of the well is 5531 meters.

As reported, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" from April 2010 is engaged in commercial production of oil in the concession area Alam El Shawish East in the western part of Egypt.

The concession agreement for exploration and exploitation of the eastern bloc Alam El Shawish East a total area of 994 square meters. km concluded in December 2006.

To expand the hydrocarbon resource base in Egypt "Naftogaz of Ukraine" conducted the study of geological and geophysical data and prepared the feasibility study the feasibility of investment in exploration license blocks number 8 South Wadi Mahareeth and number 9 Wadi Mahareeth (both — Eastern Desert) Egyptian state-owned Ganoub El -Wadi Petroleum Holding Co (GANOPE). Already initialed the draft concession agreements for exploration and exploitation of the licensed blocks between Egypt, GANOPE, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and its subsidiary "Zarubezhnaftegaz."

The total reserves of hydrocarbons three fields operated by the NAC as part of the project to develop the concession area Alam El Shawish East estimated 10 million tons. In addition, an evaluation of reserves on two more fields, intended to develop the company in Egypt.

Oil production in Ukraine in 2011 decreased by 6.3% compared with 2010 — up to 2.409 million tons of gas condensate — by 6.4%, to 917 thousand tons.

Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" in 2011 reduced the Ukrainian oil production by 5.4% — up to 2.251 million tons of gas condensate — by 9.9%, to 787 thousand tons.

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" brings together the country’s largest oil and gas companies. Has a monopoly on the transit and storage of natural gas in underground storage, and transportation of oil by pipeline through the territory of Ukraine.
