Economic growth in Russia in January-November was 3.5%

Economic growth in November was 3.5% in January-November — and 3.5%, reported by the Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov.

"3.5% — the same as in January-November," — Belousov said at a meeting with journalists.

Meanwhile, the annual value of Russia’s GDP grew by 1.9%. Thus, the growth of GDP in annual terms, slowing the sixth consecutive month.

 Earlier in the meeting of Vladimir Putin and the trustees Andrei Belousov noted that the pace of economic growth in Russia this year will amount to 3.5-3.6%.

"This year we go somewhere in the 3.5-3.6%. Next year, enough to optimistic estimates, we are closer to 4%," — said Belousov.

Chapter MED noted that the economy needed a comfortable growth rate of at least 4% per year, or the needs and possibilities of the budget system will not be able to balance. In the medium term, according to the Belousov, required growth rate of 5%.

Recall that the Russian GDP in the III quarter increased yoy by 2.9%. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, the GDP growth in January — September was 3.9%. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the economy in January — September rose by 3.8%.
