"Frigate Ekodzhet" is designed to carry 300 passengers at a distance of 3500 km at a cruising speed of 850 km / h The basis of the new concept and principle of perspective is the use of an aircraft fuselage oval shaped (in cross section) with a three-pass arrangement. Series of studies on aerodynamics, strength, stability and controllability of the aircraft "Frigate Ekodzhet" carried out by TsAGI for two years. Scientists at the Institute held a design study of the behavior of the fuselage structure for loading by internal overpressure, the main parameters of the aircraft and constructive-power circuit. Test results provisional model "Frigate Ekodzhet" held in subsonic (T-102) and transonic (T-106M) TSAGI wind tunnel have shown that the overall aircraft aerodynamic design is characterized by high level of perfection aerodynamic aircraft classical analog circuits and can be accepted for further work on this project.
At present, specialists of the Institute embarked on a new phase of research.
