Hydraulic Unit number 4 Boguchan plant moved to full-time industrial applications. JSC "Boguchan power plant" has received permission Yenisei of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) on Approval for hydroelectric station number 4 with an installed capacity of 333 MW. The total design capacity of four existing units will be 1332 MW.
The first three units with station number 1, 2 and 3 were put into operation on 27 November, and on December 1, 2012 the station began to supply the wholesale market. In early January 2013, production totaled more than 8.6 million kilowatt-hours per day. Tests at idle unit number 4 began on December 17, after all the intermediate points of the test program on Dec. 25 for the first time the unit has been plugged in to the load. On the same day of testing began to idle the unit number 5.
Operating the hydraulic unit number 4 will be carried out during the period of temporary withdrawal from the work of one of the existing hydroelectric first complex at station number 1, 2 and 3. This scheme is due to network limitations (inability to produce full working capacity of the plant to 220 kV), related to the unwillingness of the objects the power output circuit voltage of 500 kV.
During the inspection staff RTN found that the state hydroelectric number 4 corresponds to the specifications and requirements of the project documentation. Hydraulic Unit is admitted into operation on condition of not more than three units with a total load station is not more than 470 MW in the issuance to 220 kV at a constant power scheme. It is assumed that with the commissioning of the unit number 4 daily output will exceed 10.5 million kilowatt-hours.
After reaching the readiness of the power output circuit 500 kV will be specified schedule starts remaining five hydroelectric (№, May 6, 7, 8, 9). Start station at full capacity in 3000 MW with the commissioning of all nine hydroelectric will depend on the timing of the filling of the reservoir to the design level of 208 m mark this dial plan for 2013 — 2014. In the second decade of November 2012 Boguchansky reservoir level has stabilized at around 185 m, increased during the winter of 2012 — 2013 is planned.
Boguchanskaya plant resumed in 2006 by OJSC "RusHydro" and UC RUSAL after the conclusion of the Agreement on a joint project to build Boguchansky Energy and Metals Association (BEMA) as part of a long-term average Boguchan hydro power generation of 17,600 million kWh, an aluminum smelter capacity of 600 tons of metal per year.
Phased commissioning of nine hydroelectric power plant Boguchan is the foundation of the state of the investment project "Integrated Development of the Lower Angara", which provides for the further development of the natural resource potential of the area, ensuring the energy security of IPS Siberia by attracting private investment. Period of implementation of public-private project "Integrated Development of the Lower Angara area" is defined from 2006 to 2015-th years.
