Gazprom increased gas supplies to Europe

Gazprom’s export products to foreign countries in the first half of the year increased by 10%. 

This was stated by the head of the Russian state concern Alexei Miller. He said that the past year has been difficult for the European energy sector. But already from the second half of last year saw an increase in the share of Gazprom the European market. Alexey Miller noted that supply other gas exporters declined. We are talking about Algeria, Libya and Qatar. In this case, a private natural gas production in the European countries has been steadily declining. Throughout the year, Gazprom intends to put on the European market is 160 billion cubic meters.

According to Alexey Miller, LNG supplies to Europe were significantly lower than previously forecasted values. At the same time, Gazprom intends to increase global market share of liquefied natural gas to 15%. Now Gazprom‘s share is 5%.
