Gazprom oil began producing gasoline grade 5 at Omsk Refinery

Omsk Oil Refinery "Gazprom oil" started in July to the production of gasoline Euro-Super 98, the emission class 5.

This was made possible thanks to the start of use in the production of gasoline isomerisate — high-octane component of modern motor fuel with zero sulfur, aromatic and unsaturated hydrocarbons.

The largest in Russia and Europe set to "Isomalk-2", which produces isomerizate, was commissioned by the refinery in October 2010. To date, the plant produced more than 151 tons of this component.

Fuel fifth environmental class is different ultra-low sulfur and benzene, its use in car engines significantly reduces the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. The sulfur content in gasoline grade 5 Super Euro-98 decreased compared with gasoline previous class 5 times.
"One of the strategic challenges facing the company as part of the modernization program processing assets — improving the quality of fuels produced to the highest international standards. In accordance with the terms defined by the technical regulations, we have to finish this program in 2015, but I am convinced that the Omsk refinery cope with this problem much earlier, "said Deputy-Director General of" Gazprom oil "on logistics, processing and marketing of Anatoly Cherner .
In March of this year, the Omsk refinery started production of gasoline 4th environmental class. After the projected 2012 commissioning of the complex gidroochistok diesel and gasoline catalytic cracking motor fuel produced by the company will fully comply with the requirements of classes 4 and 5.
