Gorny Altai. Bridges over the Katun. Part 2.

Closing. Home — Gorny Altai. Bridges over the Katun. Part 1.

BaboutMost of the bridges over the Katun still tied to Chuiski, which has long been almost the only transport route that linked the Altai Mountains to the rest of Russia, and to this day remains one of the main roads in Mongolia. Its development Chuiski got in the 30s. It was then the Soviet Union began in earnest to make friends with Mongolia, as possible — and get ready for the Soviet-Japanese conflict. Then it was built two bridges over the Katun, and one of them survived to this day.

I beg to love and favor: Tsaplinsky bridge near the village of Yin. Located on a 358-kilometer tract Chu (counting from Byisk).

  • Suspension bridge over the Katun near the village of Yin (Tsaplinsky Bridge)
  • Suspension bridge over the Katun near the village of Yin (Tsaplinsky Bridge)

The bridge is quite remarkable. It was built in 1936 on the project (thesis!) SA Tsaplina engineer, who supervised the construction. Its total length — 142 meters, the river span — 100 meters. The bridge — a wooden (yes, wooden), with reinforced concrete pylons 21 meters high, sustained during the test load of 6 ZIS-loaded to 6 — 8 tons each (total — not less than 36 tonnes).

  • Most, I repeat, WOODEN
  • Most, I repeat, WOODEN

Tsaplinsky bridge was built by the prisoners, around the same time as the Chemal plant, and at the same time, when there was a large tract reconstruction Chu, who on the eve of the conflict with Japan gained strategic importance.

Ininsky bridge from 1994 is a landmark building and is listed in the register of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation under the number 0200000278. For its intended purpose has ceased to be used in 1970, when the next car was built concrete bridge.

And together, these bridges look good.

And tourists think so too.

By the way, the new (1970) Ininsky bridge is perceived as a strategic state. Proof of this is the guard booth at the entrance to the bridge. The guard is sitting there. I’m sorry, but I can not imagine photos, please take a word.

Such "strategic" bridges Chuiski within two of the Altai Mountains. Second — near the village of Ust-Sema, we’ll be back there now. Near Ust-Sema (located at the name of the river on the 148-kilometer tract Chui) has two bridges. One — "old." Built in 1959 to replace the wooden, which in turn was built in 1935, again by prisoners. Here is the bridge (first concrete to Chuiski) and is still considered to be strategic.

Unfortunately, just as I am not here dopetril sfotografirovot with the guard booth. It — on the opposite side. If you look closely — you can see it in the photo. Speed is limited by bridge 20 km / h, two narrow strips. Of course, the bridge with its load is not mastered, and in 2010 (this is the "Made in us") to Ust-Sema was put into operation a new, very comfortable and no speed limit bridge. Of course, the whole car traffic went there. But the guard booth there.

Was filmed in the fog, in the internet there are photos of the bridge and better, but do not want to use someone else.

More Chuiski Katun never crosses, but with it (path) is a lot of bridges to the left bank (already in the Altai Territory), and most of them — are new. Their appearance is associated with the development of tourism infrastructure, and the largest of which are financed from the federal budget. Just out of the federal budget and is funded expansion Chu tract to 4-lane road with a dividing stripe in the middle.

But back to the bridges.

Near the village is a private Barangol pedestrian bridge over the Katun belongs to the travel agency "Royal Hunt" Kamishlinski leads to the waterfall. I do not know exactly when it was built — but as recently as a few years ago. The passage, of course, paid. Not very expensive, rubles, it seems, 30 from the nose.

One can see the number of people that the bridge pays off.

Just a few kilometers downstream — too new and too — private (well, more likely, a public-private: Altai is also seeking to use the recreational potential of the foothills of the Altai Mountains and is investing a lot in infrastructure) Bridge, which leads into a large tourist complex "Turquoise Katun" to Tavdinskie caves, too, for the transport of charge. But not intrusive charge. You can move from one bank to another for free. But if you want to enter the territory of the tourist complex (and it is huge, there are several camp sites around the artificial lake) — pay.

And is there more to tell about the two bridges that lead to the lake Aya in the Altai region. The popularity of the lake — is enormous. Lake tiny but very picturesque. Land prices near comparable with Moscow. Even last year, there could only be accessed through the old, even 50’s suspension bridge, which at one time belonged to the state farm Ayskomu. The bridge is also surprisingly picturesque, but first — present a new collection.

He was com
missioned in 2011 ("Made us!"), And when I was shooting, yet very few motorists are aware of its existence. Cars on the bridge almost was not. Directions — free :).

Not that — on the old. There’s a long line up, half-hour queue of cars. And the distance between the axles — only 3 km away.

However, the bridge is very picturesque. Maybe people just want to ride on this beauty. Let, and paying 100 p.

It is seen that tourists and vacationers, not much, very much. Now on the right bank of actively filled with water is another man-made lake. There will also be a tourist complex. People will be more. In the summer season (July-August) Chuiski Tyagun formed a real, almost jam, cars traveling at 40 km. For him, as I wrote, that’s expanded to a size:

  • Pedestrian crossing through an updated and expanded Chuiski.

This is one time I used someone else’s photo. Hope NatikSoldatik do not mind.

The review did not get a couple of bridges in Ust-Koksinsky area. Alas. Maybe I still will.

Finally, another bridge in the Altai Mountains, in which I often walk. Where — do not write, so as not decrypted. :)

Simply, it is very beautiful. Enjoy. :)
