The venue of the board of Frontier Service of the Russian Federation Southern Urals was not chosen by chance. At the time, she became one of the first pilot areas, where rapid introduction of innovative technologies of the border.

Russian-Kazakh border is one of the longest land border in the world: its length is more than seven thousand kilometers. According to the deputy head of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service Yevgeny Inchin, half of all contraband coming into the territory of the Russian Federation, have at it. The smugglers are well organized and equipped. So the first place to protect the borders of the country today stands hardware.

Undisputed leader of the show was the new aircraft, UAV "airboat". This analog of a flying saucer, equipped with video cameras, thermal imaging and other electronic filling was demonstrated in the Chelyabinsk region for the first time and has caused the attention of military and journalists. "Airboat" is able to take off and land in any locality, is battery powered and transmits all the information obtained from the height information on the special item tracking. The cost of the complex — four million rubles, its foreign counterparts is not cheaper cost two million dollars.

In addition to work on the outpost drones were shown complex "Patriot Okapi", created on the basis of "UAZ-Patriot." It is equipped with monitoring systems in various ranges of electromagnetic waves and is able to detect and identify stationary and moving objects within a radius of 15 kilometers.

Border guards met with the newest stationary monitoring systems, radars, mobile searchlight installations, night vision and thermal imaging cameras, able to detect the movement of the offending border at a distance of more than three kilometers.
