Stalin monument in Bratislava — A statue of Stalin, established in June 2012 in Bratislava (Slovakia), the square of Louis Stuhr.
This is one of the few monuments, the leader of our country, set in modern times.
The monument was erected in Bratislava in 1949. Statue by sculptor Pavol Bana (co-authored with Jozsef Mazanov). In 1956, the monument was removed from its pedestal and sent to a storage facility of the National Gallery. In 2012, newly installed in an area without a pedestal.
The monument is located on the same axis as the monument of the Bulgarian partisans memorial stone crossing the Danube during the Second World War and the monument Masaryk.
