In Kazan, opened the first nanotcenter RUSNANO

November 27 in Kazan, opened its first nanotechnology center. The total budget of the project is 3.8 billion rubles, including co-financing RUSNANO 1.8 billion.

The main task of the center — the commercialization of innovative projects at an early stage and to provide applicants a full range of services — from consulting and expertise to the financing of small innovative companies and services, rents specialized technological and analytical equipment.

Nanotechnology Center of the Republic of Tatarstan specializes in three main areas — polymer and composite materials, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Infrastructure Center is located at two sites — in Technopark "Idea" and Technopolitan "Himgrad."

In nanocenter is already equipped with a high-tech research complex consisting of several laboratories — in particular, the methods of X-ray studies, mass spectrometry, and spectrophotometry, thermal analysis, chromatography, physical methods of analysis, optical methods of analysis, electron spectroscopy. In addition, as the approval and funding of new projects will be purchased new equipment.

"Tatarstan — one of the most innovative Russian regions, so it is natural that the first nano-center opened here — said the managing director of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs Evgeny Evdokimov. — And the services of the Centre and its equipment will seriously reduce both financial and time costs that arise during the development of start-ups. I am sure that the Kazan nanotcenter be the launching pad for many aspiring innovators. "

According to the general director of the Nanotechnology Center of RT Dmitry Flap, the format of his work is unique to Russia: "Developers and entrepreneurs are given a real chance to implement the ideas, capitalizing on the results of their labor. It is known that nanotechnology requires very heavily on analytical and process equipment. For example, the cost of building the line prototyping of polymeric materials can be up to ten million dollars. Not all startups can not afford to buy the equipment. Network nanocenters RUSNANO to offer developers everything needed to build and grow their business process. "

Recall that the project of the Center of the Republic of Tatarstan nanotechnology experts was selected in 2010 as the first open competition to create nanocenters in the Russian regions.
