Power unit PGU-90 is a combined-cycle plant, built on a double-block scheme. Basic equipment will include two gas turbine manufacturing General Electric, steam turbine of "GTC", Kaluga, waste heat boilers of "EMA", Taganrog. The project cost is about 5 billion rubles. The new launcher will be put into operation in December 2012.
Feature of the expansion project Omsk HPP-3 is that the new combined cycle gas turbine equipment will be installed on the existing plant and will require expansion of the existing main building and the incorporation of new infrastructure unit without stopping the existing power equipment. The project will be carried out on the basis of new technologies to produce heat and electricity, providing an increase in the utilization rate of the fuel cost reduction of heat and electric power and increasing environmental safety. Commissioning of the new equipment will increase capacity by 25% and significantly improve its technical and economic indicators.
