January 26, 2013 Governor Georgy Poltavchenko took part in the opening ceremony of the new complex of the Interior Ministry on Petrodvorets district of St. Petersburg. Georgy Poltavchenko examined a new set of district police office and gave an estimate of the conditions created for the staff.
The new building has an area of 32,000 square meters will house offices of the licensing and permitting, investigation, inquiry and other units. In the complex there is even a canine station. And the governor congratulated the police with new home and noted the importance of well-coordinated work of the government and law enforcement agencies.

The new complex will allow police officers to provide security at the highest level. The governor said that the city is constantly assisting the police in strengthening the material-technical base. The plans for the city government to build two more police departments in Shusharah and outdoor Esenina. Georgy Poltavchenko thanked the builders of the complex for the good work, and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the St. Petersburg police for their active participation in this project.
