In Simferopol, opened a museum of embroidery

In Simferopol, the museum was opened Ukrainian embroidery named Hero of Ukraine VS Roik. It includes three exhibition spaces — memorial room with outstanding embroidery, Hall "History of Ukrainian embroidery" and changing exhibitions of works by contemporary Crimean embroiderers. "With the blessing of Metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimea Lazar, above it is set icon of the Intercession of the Virgin.

"What a pleasure to be here today knowing that everything is created by human hands, a blessing for him. Embroidery firmly entered our lives. We can touch to this great art and continue this good work," — said Metropolitan Lazarus.

During 2011-2012, about 254 have been allocated, 0 thousand hryvnia from the budget of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as from the special account of the museum 40, 0 thousand hryvnia for the repair and strengthening of material base.

"I am sure that everyone who comes to the Crimea to rest, I will be happy to visit this museum," — said the deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Valery Palchuk.

The event was attended by Vadim Roik — the son of Vera Roik.

"This is a really great day in the cultural life of the Crimea and a very happy day for our family. This day was waiting for my mom. All her life she dreamed that in the Crimea there was such a museum," — said the son of the Hero of Ukraine.
