In Syktyvkar commissioned the disposal of mercury-containing waste

"The equipment allows to detect not only the mercury lamps, but also mercury-contaminated soil, thermometers and other instruments and materials containing mercury", — According to the Chairman of the Committee of measures of Civil Protection of the Republic of Komi Elena Perminov, stressing that service reception and disposal of mercury-containing waste to the public and public offices is free.


Installing the RLC-2M, which was developed and produced by Russian scientists, acquired by means of the republican budget. Maintenance and operation of the plant is engaged in the Civil Code of RK "Management of Fire Service and Civil Protection" (subordinated to the establishment of the Committee of measures of Civil Protection of the Republic of Komi). The equipment is located in a structure built in 2011 (according to specific requirements) building in the suburban area of Syktyvkar.
