The memorial sign Zinaida Mareseva posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, opened in the village Solomino near the bridge over the reservoir Belgorodskoe new bypass road Tavrovo — Reasonable.
Medical orderly 214th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 73rd Guards Rifle Division Stalingrad Z. Mareseva died Aug. 6, 1943, two days after the release of Belgorod. As part of their unit 20-year-old Zinaida participated in the forced crossing of the Seversky Donets River between the villages and Solomino Toplinka. During the battle for two days, she, along with other medical instructor made from the battlefield 64 wounded, and ferried them across the river.
August 3, ferrying men on the boat, Mareseva was wounded by shrapnel exploding mines, and on August 6 died in hospital. For their heroism and courage in crossing the Seversky Donets Zinaida Mareseva posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
A November 3, 2011 in the village of Solomino near the scene of the battle, opened a memorial in honor of the heroine. Monument set on a hill near the new bridge over the reservoir Belgorod.
"How many years have passed, we will always honor and remember the feat of the price that we got the win," — said at the opening ceremony of the monument to the governor of the Belgorod region Yevgeny Savchenko.
