In the Bryansk region have collected more than a million tons of potatoes


Over one million tons of potatoes harvested the second year in a row the economy of the Bryansk region. They were planted 59,000 hectares

These figures were announced at a video conference for cleaning vegetables and potatoes, which was held with the regions of the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Fyodorov. 

Speakers noted that the cultivated area in the Bryansk region in the current year amounted to 751,000 hectares and has expanded to the level of 2011 to 25,000 hectares. Including under grain and leguminous crops occupied 324,000 hectares. In the area harvested more than 600,000 tons of grain. Under the 2013 crop is sown more than 200,000 hectares of winter crops. In addition, the record harvest of sugar beet — 150,000 tons, the yield was 371 hundredweight per acre. Vegetable crops in the planting of more than seven thousand acres, tucked away — 6500.
