In the Commercial Seaport Ust-Luga the launch of the terminal company SIBUR and Novatek

June 19 opening of the first phase of the complex handling and fractionation of stable gas condensate and products of its processing capacity of 6 million tons per year in the Commercial Seaport "Ust-Luga". Five years ago, there was an agreement on the construction of the terminal in the area. Today, these ideas are turned into reality. The project is implemented by LLC "NOVATEK-Ust-Luga", investments amounted to about 20 billion rubles.

June 19 held the first tanker shipment, which will deliver 80 tons of naphtha produced at the Complex, the Brazilian company Braskem.

The first phase of the complex includes the installation on the fractionation of stable gas condensate (CFS) design capacity of 3 million tons per year, the Commodity farm with capacity 520 thousand cubic meters deep-water dock, equipped standers and able to receive tankers with deadweight up to 120 thousand tons, administrative and economic zone, engineering systems and networks, as well as wastewater treatment plants. The construction of the second phase of the complex, including another installation on the fractionation of SGK design capacity of 3 million tons per year. The completion of the second phase is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013.

Another major investor — LLC "SIBUR-Portenergo" realized in the port of "Ust-Luga" investment project to build a complex for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The production capacity of the terminal — 1.5 million tons of liquefied petroleum gas and 2.5 million tons of light oil per year. The investment amounted to about 25 billion rubles. 

Work began in 2007. This year will begin handling of LPG and petroleum products. Is expected to create 290 new jobs.
