In the Russian army entered the personal digital radios

 

Domestic radio stations based on 65-nanometer processor NGO "Angstrom", which in the future should replace all existing today in the army communications, will test a large-scale military exercises "Caucasus-2012", said the General Directorate of the Armed Forces of Russia.

These radios have passed state tests, and now they will check the troops — on the next big exercise, — the representative of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces connection.

The representative of "Angstrom" Alexei Dianov confirmed this information.In this Tuesday, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Alexander Postnikov announced that the system of military communications in the army already upgraded with the Georgian operation in August 2008 when, due to a lack of communication officers had to use mobile phones.

Now command and control systems operate within the level that we today can afford — Postnikov said.

A source in the Main Department of Communication said that the words do not contradict Postnikov information management. According to him, the new radio station, designed NGO "Angstrom" is not accepted for service and Postnikov meant their approbation in military exercises.

In February, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, oversees defense and minister of defense Anatoly Serdyukov visited the NGO "Angstrom" in Zelenograd and tried a new radio station.

During the visit, Serdyukov said that in 2012, 2.5 thousand troops arrive personal radios developed by NGOs "Angstrom".

At the core of the radio station — a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1 GHz 65nm home development, through which device can operate in the night due to any military frequency. In addition, the radio station, as Serdyukov said, "much better protected from anti-electronic warfare systems."
