In the Yaroslavl region opened a modern Livestock sheep farm

The Governor of the Yaroslavl region Sergey Vahrukov visited the sheep at the opening of the complex at 380 sheep "Agrofirm" Vanguard "in Uglich area.


The new complex is built on the money of a private investor and is a modern room with mechanized processes, which houses an elite herd of Romanov sheep.


The main purpose of the complex — to significantly increase the number of sheep of the native Yaroslavl breed, thus becoming the largest in Russia sheep farms.

The head of the region noted that the company "Agri" Vanguard "is still one of the leading meat and dairy livestock in the regional agribusiness and takes a leading role in the restoration of the lost positions Romanov sheep.

The development of animal husbandry and sheep are one of the key directions of the regional target program "Development of agriculture and rural areas of the Yaroslavl region" until 2014. At the end of the program only in sheep is projected to increase the share of the Romanov sheep breeding farms in the area to 40%. It is about 40 thousand head, almost 8-fold increase in the population compared to current levels.
