In Ulan-Ude opened one of the largest sports centers in the Urals

February 25 in the capital of the Republic of Buryatia Ulan-Ude opened one of the largest sports facilities in Eastern Siberia — sports complex with a 50-meter Olympic pool type.

In addition to the swimming pool on the 10 tracks with stands for 1,000 seats sports complex with a total area of 36,000 square meters includes: multi-purpose hall for team sports, with stands for 2,500 seats, facilities for archery and combat sports (boxing, wrestling and Judo).


The futuristic design of the sports complex — multi-storey building with a red roof and a spherical unusual architectural solutions — allocates a new FSK compared to other sports facilities Buryatia.

The construction of the facility began in 2008. The cost of construction was about 2 billion rubles. The funds were allocated from the state as well as the federal budget in the framework of the Federal Target Program "Development of physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation for 2006-2015".
