In Yakutia opened a new airport

OJSC "Surgutneftegaz" has commissioned airport Talakan in Lena region of Yakutia. This airport complex was the first in the country, built entirely at the expense of a private company. In addition, he did the first in Russia, built from the ground after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Investment in the construction of the airport was about 15 billion rubles.

The new airport is located on the territory of Yakutia in the Lena area 112 kilometers from the village Vitim. First, it is designed to deliver cargo to the professionals and Talakanskoye oil and gas field, the development of which is "Surgutneftegaz". Using them will not only oil, but also the locals. In this respect, according to the authorities of Yakutia and aviation specialists, Talakan will give a powerful impetus to the development of the region.

Airport has a runway length of 3,100 meters, capable of receiving aircraft of the Tu-154, Boeing-737, Airbus A319 and A320. The apron includes a parking space for five aircraft and helicopter pad, a ten machines Mi-8 and Mi-26. The capacity of the passenger terminal is 200 people per hour.  The first Tu-154 made a test landing at Talakan in November of 2012, and since the beginning of this year, the airport is operated almost running.
