Industrial production in Russia in January-April 2012. grew by 3.3%

     Industrial production in Russia in January-April 2012. increased compared to the same period in 2011. by 3.3%. It is reported by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). At the same time, in April 2012. compared to April 2011. industrial production increased by 1.3% in April compared to March of this year — Decreased by 5.4%.

Recall, industrial production in Russia in I quarter 2012. increased compared to the same period in 2011. by 4.0%. At the same time, in March 2012. compared to March 2011. industrial production increased by 2.0% in March compared to February of this year — 7.0%.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) of Russia lowered the forecast for growth in industrial production in 2012. up to 3.1% against the previous forecast of 3.6%.

The industrial production index is calculated by type of activity, "mining and quarrying", "Manufacturing", "Production and distribution of electricity, gas and water" on the basis of data on the dynamics of production of major products to be (in physical and value terms). As weights used the structure of gross value added by economic activity base year adjusted for informal activities.
