Intelligent transportation system will deal with thefts in Moscow

The hijacking and theft of motor vehicles in Moscow is still a hot issue. This opinion was expressed by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin at the board meeting of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow on performance in 2011 and plans for 2012.

According to police, in 2011 recorded 2.1 million thefts (up 20%) and more than 10.8 million car thefts, which is 8% more than the year before.

One way to address the high number of thefts and burglaries in the capital is the implementation of intelligent transport systems, says the mayor. ITS consisting of complex automated systems allows monitoring of traffic and management of all types of transport. According to Sobyanin, the elements of this system will improve the efficiency of the police in the fight against vehicle theft.

Another way to increase safety on the roads of the capital — the installation of satellite anti-theft system. Satellite systems are connected to the monitoring station operator safety, allow you to monitor the status and location of vehicles in the city and beyond, and send alarm signals in case of attempted theft, accident or act of vandalism. Instant duplication of information in the response service ensures the prevention of unlawful activities and increases the efficiency of helping people in emergency situations.

"The combination of ITS capabilities and satellite security and search engines will give a synergistic effect and will significantly reduce the number of car thefts and thefts of vehicles. Moscow as a large and dynamic metropolis need such innovative solutions, "- says the press-service of" Arkan ".
