Izhevsk State Technical University — the opening of NBI

On June 21, Izhevsk State Technical University opened shared center (MSC) "Innovative materials processing technologies."

According to experts, this is a unique, one-of Volga center for treatment of non-metallic materials where the major modern high-tech equipment — machines for working wood, kiln for fusing (glass processing).

The center is located in an area of about 600 square meters. m in the block, where previously housed the laboratory department of advertising and design Izhevsk State Technical University and the Department "Technology artistic processing of materials."
According to the Dean of the Faculty of advertising and design IzhSTU Michael Black, opening NBI prepared since 2002 — was carried out major reconstruction of the area, gradually procured equipment. Operations of the unit will be connected with the implementation of advanced research as well as practical and laboratory classes. Already in July will begin commercial practice: IzhSTU contracts with universities in the country, and the NBI "Innovative Materials Processing Technologies" will provide interaction and information exchange with schools.

In the Udmurt Republic opens a permanent establishment of the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (Bortnik Fund) which is located within the walls of the Izhevsk State Technical University, the press service of universtitet.

June 16, 2011 in Moscow, a ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Udmurtia and the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (Bortnik Fund). From the Udmurt Republic an agreement signed by the Chairman of the Government of SD Yuri Pitkevich. Official letter to CEO Sergei Polyakov Bortnik Fund approved a permanent establishment in the SD Izhevsk State Technical University and the permanent representative of the head of design and teaching laboratory expert analytical department IzhSTU lecturer Constantine Shirobokova.

The Fund’s activities in Udmurtia Bortnick will focus on attracting innovative scientific and technical work of the creative potential of the country and will effectively identify young scientists seeking self-fulfillment through innovation. The Fund aims to encourage mass participation of young people in science, technology and innovation through organizational and financial support for innovative projects and to support small innovative companies seeking to develop and master the production of new goods, technologies and services in the segment of high-tech industry, using the results of their scientific and technological research.
