Izhora plants completed control assembly of the reactor vessel to the Bulgarian NPP Belene

Izhora plants, part of OMZ Group, has successfully completed the control assembly VVER-1000 for the first power plant Belene (Bulgaria). 


The results of the control assembly assessed Commission, which includes representatives of the NPP "Belene" EDO "Hydraulic", "Atomstroyexport" VO "Safety", the experts Izhorskie plants.

The control assembly housing reactor internals and the upper cover unit is one of the final steps in the manufacturing process of the reactor vessel prior to shipment to the customer.

 The construction of NPP "Belene" — the largest project of Russian-Bulgarian cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. It involves the construction of two power units with Russian pressurized water reactors of 1000 MW each. For two units of Bulgarian nuclear plant Izhorskiye plants, in accordance with the contracts will be made 2 reactor vessels with internals, 2 upper block, 2 pressurizer, 8 blocks of steam generators with collectors of coolant (4 cases have already been shipped to the steam generators of "Machine- Podolsk "), 2 sets of nodes to the main circulation pipeline, as well as 8 accumulator tank of the emergency core cooling system and 16 tanks of passive protection of the reactor core.
