Izhora plants produced wrench main connector reactor for Novovoronezh NPP-2

Izhora Works (St. Petersburg), part of OMZ Group, has successfully completed the test socket wrench main reactor vessel for Novovoronezh NPP-2.

Electro-wrench — a joint development Izhorskij and the German company Siempelkamp Tensioning Systems (STS) — is designed for hydraulic tightening or loosening all the bolts at the same time on the flange of the reactor vessel with fuel reload, routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

The use of this type of impact wrenches can ensure the integrity of the flange connection under all operating conditions and reduce the time compression and decompression slot. This significantly reduces the duration of outages and achieved significant savings through a more rapid achievement of operational nuclear power unit.

On the acceptance tests of a commission composed of representatives of "Izhora Plants", JSC "Management of a single customer", JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", the company STS. Signed the act of acceptance of the equipment. Wrench main connector will be held in safekeeping until shipment to the station.
