Kalinin NPP Unit number 4 on a phase of trial operation

May 9, 2012 at Unit number 4 of the Kalinin nuclear power plant entered a phase of "Pilot plant operation," which is the final part of the development work on putting nuclear power plant unit in commercial operation.

Test results should confirm the design parameters of reliability and security.

Stage of trial operation is complete acceptance tests, in which unit will operate at nominal power level for 72 hours, and acceptance into operation, which is scheduled for September 30, 2012.
