The contract for a three-year maintenance of aircraft, signed between the Ministry of Defence and JSC "United Aircraft Company" (KLA), estimated at more than 80 billion rubles, according to a press release from the Corporate Communications Department KLA.
Ministry of Defense and the KLA during the International Air Show MAKS-2013 in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a three-year contract for the maintenance of aircrafts.
"This is one of the largest contracts signed at the air show," — the document says. The implementation of the contract will significantly improve the condition and combat readiness of combat and military transport aircraft in the army.
"Performance of the contract provides for the consolidation of functions within the KLA on maintenance of aircraft throughout the life cycle: from supply to disposal" — the document says.
According to the president of the KLA Mikhail Pogosyan, to date, the order book for military aircraft for the Ministry of Defence is over 300 units, and the total volume of orders in the state armaments program will be about 600 aircraft.
