Large investment in wood processing is implemented in the Smolensk region

Renovation and expansion of "Igorevskaya Woodworking Plant", includes the construction of a plant fibreboard (MDF), as well as the development of the infrastructure of the municipality.

The investment project is being implemented on public-private partnership in 2009, it was initiated by the Administration of the Smolensk region. The plant was built in the early 1980’s as a complex for the production of particle boards, plywood and lumber and is located on the hill-station Igorevskaya Zhirkovskogo Smolensk region. Currently, the company is the city main, it employs more than 600 people.

The implementation of the investment contributes to the development of the local cluster in the region for the production of building materials, which make up the core of the enterprise woodworking. The total cost of the project exceeds 7 billion.
It is planned that the project will create an additional 600 new jobs. At new sites will be organized by the production of a wide range of products, and the annual sales volume of polished MDF boards of all sorts will be about 400 thousand m3.

At present, the work carried out on the foundation for buildings, installation of external networks, delivering steel structures and equipment purchase.
