Lenenergo reserves electricity sea port

"Lenenergo" completed the modernization of the transmission line of 35 kV Kingiseppsky district of the Leningrad region. Services provided — part project to strengthen the power supply for the port "Ust-Luga" and the creation of a reserve power to connect to networks of new consumers

"Lenenergo" plans to invest in the project 1.5 billion.
On an existing 35 kV line, which was built with future upgrades, specialists of JSC "Lenenergo" hung 40 km of 110 kV cables and installed 56 feet. The volume of this work is actually comparable to the construction of new transmission lines. This will back up power supply Commercial Sea Port (ICC) "Ust-Luga" directly from HPS-13 "Narva". Until the end of 2013 will hold power are fiber-optic transmission, and the transmission lines to expand the glade boundaries of protected areas.

Today, the main electricity substation supplying the ICC "Ust-Luga", is carried out only in two high-voltage lines of 110 kV double circuit design, which is already "loaded" by more than 100%. A new 110 kV line in the long term will reliably backup power supply for the main energy sources from the port number 5 substation under construction "Ust-Luga".
"Lenenergo" implementing investment projects in several stages. The implementation of the first and the second will significantly improve the reliability of power supply in the 110 kV network ICC "Ust-Luga", and create an additional reserve of power for the grid connection of new consumers in the region. After completing the project, "Lenenergo" fully provide for the future needs of the port’s electricity.
To increase Reliability supply and commissioning of additional capacity, "Lenenergo" reconstructs the two 110 kV substations "Port" and "Vistino" as well as building a new 110 kV substation "Ust-Luga". The new 110 kV substation "Ust-Luga" is built next to the existing 35 kV energy source.
