Lukoil has started production of polyvinyl chloride to Karpatneftihime

In Kalush (Ukraine) in the enterprise "Karpatneftekhim" in the group "LUKOIL", began commercial production of suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

New plant design capacity is 300 thousand tons of PVC per year. The project investment reached 236 million U.S. dollars. Implementation of the project began in 2007.
The technology used allows to produce PVC 6 brands world-class quality. The production consists of two completely independent lines, allowing you to provide the technical flexibility and produce a wide range of products.
Production of the new PVC production will be sold in Ukraine, Russia and some Eastern European countries.
In 2010, "Karpatneftehime" launched production of 200 thousand tons of caustic soda and about 180 tons of chlorine per year, which fully meets the needs of the production of PVC in the raw materials.
Also in 2010 "Karpatneftekhim" resumed production of ethylene and polyethylene capacity accordingly 250 and 100 thousand tons per year.
