upgrading MiG-29 of Bangladesh Air Force

Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant (LGARZ) carries out the repair and modernization of multi-role fighters MiG-29 version of the Bangladesh Air Force 9-12.

The aim is to upgrade:

— extension of the combat capabilities of the aircraft at the task of hitting the ground and surface targets at the expense of its equipment operated (correctable) air attack (TSA) "air — surface" with television homing;

— improve the performance characteristics of the complex due to the introduction of its constituent satellite positioning systems (GPS) and advanced electro-optical targeting system (OEPS);

— improving the efficiency of the crew due to the introduction of navigation mode with the display of digital maps (MSC) and the sighting of the information on the multifunction display (MFD).

Recover fighters are staged in 1999 and received the Air Force of Bangladesh in March 2000 (the original order was 16 aircraft). The contract price was $ 124 million. Aircraft based at the airfield Kurmitola (Kurmitola) in Dhaka (Dhaka) and organizational summarized in the 8th Squadron.
