Manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-22 was successfully launched to the ISS

To the International Space Station (ISS) was successfully launched Russian manned spacecraft "Soyuz TMA-22." On board cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov, Anatoly Ivanishin and NASA astronaut Daniel Burbank.

Booster with the ship pulled away from the launch pad at the Baikonur 13 November 14 8:00 Moscow time. The first stage separated two minutes after launch. After another 40 seconds was dropped fairing that covers the "Soyuz". The second stage otdelililas after about six minutes of flight, and the ship began a solo flight at the end of the ninth minute after launch from Baikonur.
Now the "Union" to catch up with the ISS. This will take about two days.

The crew of 29 and 30 ISS orbit to be worked on for more than four months. Joining the "Union" with the ISS is scheduled for 19 hours 33 minutes on November 16, according to Roscosmos.

At the station, newcomers are waiting for American Michael Fossum, Russian Sergey Volkov and Japanese Satoshi Furukawa.

By the way, the working language is Russian space mission. The crew is already on Earth found a convenient communication and working language.

For Russians Anton and Anatoly Shkaplerova Ivanishina this flight debut. Their colleague, NASA astronaut Daniel Burbank is sent into orbit for the third time, but for the first time on the "Union." Prior to that, American flew on the space shuttle.

This "Union" — the last of the old series, which set the analog control system. Next, crews will use only the "Soyuz TMA-M", which uses digital technology.

"The Union" will start for almost two months later than planned. Launch moved to fully verify the reliability of the launch vehicle after the accident, the ship "Progress" in August. In order to dispel doubts about the past, experts have carried out a successful start to the ISS next space "truck", and only then gave the nod to the new flight crew station.

In the event of an emergency landing spacecraft flight insure two dozen military and civilian aircraft and helicopters, as well as ship search and rescue service of the Russian Navy.

The new crew will perform at the station about two experiments. One of them is called "typology". With the help of experts want to better understand the differences between the astronauts in their approach to the work on the ISS. During the experiment, participants will be playing computer games. And Anatoly Ivanyshyn takes this on board the station.

In addition, during the spacewalk Russians will collect samples of sediments from the outside of the ISS. The samples were sent to Earth. There, scientists have determined that it is deposited at the station, and how it affects it. As a result, engineers can predict the orbital lifetime of the International Space Station — 11 years. Under the program is planned that the plant will last until 2020.

Also during his stay on the ISS, Russians launch a microsatellite "Chibis". The device will attach to board the cargo ship "Progress", which will raise the "Chibis" to a height of 500 kilometers from the Earth. There’s satellite undock from the "truck" and start a solo flight. Its mission — to explore the storm. We already know that high-altitude discharges in the atmosphere cause the powerful radiation and radio-frequency pulses. From the Earth to observe this phenomenon is impossible.
