The leading Russian mining and metals companies JSC "Mechel", announces the completion of the construction project grinding-mixing plant for the production of cement.
Grinding-mixing complex (PSC) is built on the industrial site of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant. UCS — is a modern cement and blast-furnace cement. Power Complex — 1.6 million tons per year. Investment amounted to 174.4 million U.S. dollars.
The main technological feature is the use of the CPM vertical roller mills, which can achieve the maximum degree of grinding — grinding fineness 4500-6000 Blaine that provides the strength of cement and the rate of hardening. This is the first such production in Russia, built with modern European standards.
Currently at the site of the complex completed commissioning, warranty started testing equipment using waste blast furnace.
"Placement of the complex based on the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant allows processing blast furnace slag, which now serves as the main raw material for the production of high-quality cement.
Thus, "Mechel" managed to establish highly profitable production of a closed loop, based on the rational use of by-product plant — metallurgical wastes.
New UCS equipped with the latest environmental equipment, providing ultra-low rates for dust emission — 30 milligrams per cubic meter, "- said General Director of" Mechel Materials "Nicholas Parkhomchuk.
The main product of the complex — a high quality slag cement — used in the construction of surface and subsurface structures exposed to aggressive environment during the construction of hydroelectric power stations, workshops steel industry and heavy industry. It is also used in the manufacture of building blocks, concrete mixes, mortars, and dry mixes, etc.
