MES East increased the reliability of electricity supply in Khabarovsk

Branch of OAO "UES FGC" — Trunk Power Grids (MEA) of the East — made a translation of four 110 kV transmission lines for new equipment outdoor switchgear (ORU) 110 kV substation of 220 kV DC in Khabarovsk. The work carried out within the framework of a comprehensive upgrade of power. As a result of increased supply reliability Airport, the regional center, cardiac center and the first Regional Hospital, as well as the reliability of the power output of Khabarovsk CHP-1.

Complex reconstruction of the 220 kV RC began in 2009. As a result of modernization, which is scheduled for completion in 2012, will increase capacity of the substation with 330 MVA to 376 MVA. To date, installed and put into operation the basic equipment of new line cells of a 110 kV and 220 kV: modern current and voltage transformers, gas-insulated switches, circuit breakers and surge voltage corresponding class. Produced replant four lines of 110 kV and 220 kV with four old of a 110 kV and 220 kV, respectively, for the new equipment. Put into operation a new auto-transformer voltage 220/110/10 kV 125 MVA, which replaced the outdated analog exhaust more than 40 years.

Until December 16, is scheduled for completion of 220 kV upon replacement of two power lines and putting into operation of a new transformer 110/35/6 kV 63 MVA, which will replace the illogical unit capacity of 40 MVA.

In addition, the project provides for the reconstruction of the substation replacement of 35 kV switchgear system for outdoor installation (CSGN) of 35 kV, the construction of a new closed distribution system (ISG) 6 kV, the improvement of automated information-measuring system of electricity (AMR) and the establishment of an automated Process Control Systems (PCS), which allows to control the substation remotely.

Substation 220 kV RC installed capacity of 330 MVA was commissioned in 1964. It provides electricity to consumers in Khabarovsk, including JSC "Khabarovsk Oil Refinery", the city water utility companies, regional hospital center "Eye Microsurgery", etc.

MES East serve the Khabarovsk and Primorye territories, Amur Oblast, Jewish Autonomous Region, as well as the south of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the total area of 2,000,000 square meters. km and a population of 4.8 million people. In the operation of the branch are 72 220-500 kV substations with total capacity of 12,680 MVA and 12,597 km of transmission lines of 220-500 kV.
