MMC Norilsk Nickel has expanded to new river fleet tug

OJSC "MMC" Norilsk Nickel "(hereinafter -" Norilsk Nickel "or the Company) announces that in Bor, Nizhny Novgorod region signed the act of reception and transmission of river tug" Port 2 "built by the "Nizhny Novgorod ship" for the Company.

This is the second tug, built at the plant for MMC "Norilsk Nickel". Construction of river tug completed within the Company’s investment program for the modernization of the port fleet. The program provides for the construction of two river and two sea tugs and bunker fuel oil.

The main parameters of river tugs: length 21.35 m, width 6.61 m, depth 2.4 m, draft 1,8 m Total power marine engines — 300 hp

The cost of the tug is 164 million rubles.

The program is currently in the construction of the towing fleet in the final stages: the first tow boat was built in 2008, the first river tug — in 2009 (http://www.nornik.ru/press/news/2417/). Acceptance of the second sea tug is scheduled for this week. Construction of offshore tugs carried out on the "Leningrad shipyard" Pella ".
